Award Recognition for Ricoh’s Ultra Short Throw Projectors at the Global CSR Award 2014

Singapore, 14 April 2014 – Ricoh Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is one of the award winners of the Product Excellence Category at the 6th Annual Global CSR Award 2014, Asia’s most prestigious event and awards on Corporate Society Responsibility. This award ceremony took place on 4th April at Bali, Indonesia.

Among over 150 entries received from companies all over the world, Ricoh’s second generation Ultra Short Throw Projectors, PJ WX4141 Series, have been recognized for its product’s green features which contribute to positive environmental impact for the customers. Like other projectors with energy-saving features that reduce carbon footprint, Ricoh’s Ultra Short Throw Projectors operate in eco mode that cuts lamp intensity and power consumption by one-third, from 312 watt to 208 watt, and extends lamp life from 3,500 hours to 5,000 hours. Its automatic power on/off feature allows user to schedule turn-off time in advance.

In addition to the green features, Ricoh’s Ultra Short Throw Projectors have also been recognized in the area of innovation. Different from other conventional projectors, the PJ WX4141 Series projectors are the world’s closest range projectors which can be placed just 11.7cm from the wall to project 48 inches image (As of November 2013, Researched by Ricoh). Coupled with a compact, lightweight design, PJ WX4141 Series projectors are a smart, ideal choice for small spaces and information displays. The combined use of the projector with Ricoh Smart Presenter, an iPad application, facilitates a meeting in a paperless environment which thereby reduces unnecessary printing.

Another significant milestone is Ricoh’s ultra short throw projectors being deployed as digital signages in the International Monetary Fundand World Bank Group’s Annual Meeting 2012, and the 8th APEC Transportation Ministerial Meeting 2013. These two case studies have demonstrated Ricoh’s commitment to create customer-centric value by offering solutions and services that enhance customers’ experience beyond being a hardware provider.
