Ricoh Corporation receives Eight "Best Awards" from BERTL

Ricoh Corporation announced today that it is the recipient of eight BERTL’s Best® 2005 Awards. Since 1996, the Best Awards have been bestowed upon the best devices and software in the digital imaging marketplace. Award winners are selected after rigorous analysis of the hundreds of digital imaging devices, software, and management utilities in the world-wide marketplace. For this year’s Best Awards, BERTL took into consideration every major, new corporate-level printer, copier, color, production and multifunction device that had been introduced to the market as of Jan. 1, 2005. All of the devices were analyzed across a wide range of parameters including accessibility, design and build quality, standard functions, network management utilities, value-added software and more. Ricoh has received awards in the following categories: - Innovation: Ricoh’s VolatileMemorySecuritySystem (VMSS) and DocumentMall solutions were each saluted as bringing “something truly unique to market.” Ricoh’s VolatileMemorySecuritySystem is a security solution that protects confidential information normally stored on hard drives and DocumentMall is a Web-based document management solution that seamlessly integrates with Ricoh products to enable copy to Web functionality. - Best 70-79 ppm Monochrome Office MFP: Ricoh’s Aficio 2075 stood out for its fast warm-up time, advanced security features, varied finishing options, valuable software suite, and true 1,200 x 1,200 output resolution. - Best Low-Volume 100-120 ppm Production MFP: Ricoh’s Aficio 2105 was acknowledged for its versatile finishing, high-productivity design features, and deep integration with networking and production software. - Best Fax/Internet Fax-centric – Executive Office MFP: Ricoh’s FAX4420NF was awarded for its ability to provide the most functionality, reliability, and security to home/executive offices and small workgroup environments with its out-of-the-box rich feature set and excellent level of security. - Best Low-Volume/Corporate Digital Duplicator: Ricoh’s Priport JP4500 stood out as a low-cost digital duplicator offering a particularly valuable combination of high output speed, good image quality, print controller options, and simple means to add color. - Best High-Volume/Corporate Digital Duplicator Solution: Ricoh’s Priport JP8500 + TC-II Production Printer + SeriPrinter Model 25 was recognized as a single, low-cost digital duplication solution that effectively addresses the challenges of traditional digital duplication for very-low cost, high-volume, full-color printing. - Best Low-Volume/Corporate Laser Wide Format Range: Including both entry-level and higher-end models, Ricoh’s range of products was judged to be ideal for applications requiring wide-format scanning, printing, and copying for workgroups such as those in architecture, construction, design, and other forms of engineering and manufacturing. “Winning eight Best Awards is a testament to Ricoh’s ability to produce exceptional products year after year,” said Elizabeth McNichol, VP of Corporate Relations for BERTL. “Ricoh continues to impress us with the breadth, depth and scope of its technological excellence.” BERTL’s Best 2005 Spring Award Winners will be publicized on www.BERTL.com in June. |
