Premier Plus Download

The Premier Plus Download information resources are made available upon request, to customer, 3rd party developer or Independent Software Vendor, for the purpose of integrating their existing application or development of new application, to work with Ricoh multifunction devices and laser printers.

The joining fee for Premier Plus Members is US$4,500, and the optional annual renewal fee is US$3,000. Prior to joining the program, the developer is required to sign an NDA & Service Support Agreement with Ricoh Asia Pacific and made payment for the joining fee.

The following items/services would be available to Premier Plus Members:

• All versions of SmartSDK¹
• SDK induction training
• Technical support services provided via email
• Compatibility testing provided for developer’s application to work with Ricoh devices

¹SmartSDK

SmartSDK is a state-of-the-art application development environment that allows for the creation of embedded and remote applications that run on Ricoh multifunction devices and laser printers. SmartSDK is based on Android technology and controls most aspects of device operation, including the control panel and core capabilities such as printing, scanning, faxing and saving files.

It allows for the creation of 3 different kinds of application that run on Ricoh multifunction devices and laser printers.

• Smart Operation Panel
  An Android platform panel with fully functional capabilities for copying, printing, scanning and fax.

• Web Browser NX
  Redesigned version of Ricoh’s device browser. It is not intended for general web browsing, but is a browser technology to allow the design of web-based applications that run on an HTTP server with capability to copy, print, scan, and fax.

• Web API
  A HTTP protocol-based REST API that allows the realisation of copy, print, scan, or fax applications driven by remote devices such as mobile phones and tablets.
