Java Support Ending for Ricoh software products running on Java VM on MFP/LP - 31st March 2025
As announced on the Ricoh Global Website, our support contract with Oracle, the developer of Java, will end on 31 March 2025. This means that after this date, Ricoh will no longer provide updates for Java-related printing and scanning solutions.
We’re committed to ensuring you continue to enjoy a seamless and secure experience with our products. To help you stay ahead, we recommend upgrading your product early to maintain optimal performance and security.
Products in Scope
The suggested upgrades vary depending on the combination of solution products and printing products that you are currently using. Please contact local service and support to discuss your options.
- For customers using the Java VM-based solution products listed below, we kindly ask you to transition to the new solution.
- If your solution products run on the printing products listed in Group A, please ensure to disable the Java VM setting to eliminate potential security risks to the device.
- If your solution products run on the printing products listed in Group B, please replace them with the latest printing products. The printing products in Group B do not support new solution products
